Kevin won second race on the trot

R-Ace drivers Fredrik Blomstedt and Kevin Korjus won the Renault Sport Trophy endurance race at Imola, beating their closest competitors by 5.6 seconds. It was first race win for Fredrik in RST while Kevin finished as a winner second time in succession after taking victory ia Motorland PRO race.

Foundation to the win was laid in AM qualification, where Fredrik took the pole. He lost two positions on the opening lap but caught the leader quickly and handed car #3 over to Kevin in P2, just a second behind the leader.

Kevin wasted no time catching the leading car #9 and was soon all over him. First attempt to grab the lead was not successful but one lap later Kevin repeated the overtaking maneuvre and this time he was able to take P1. From that point on he had relatively plain sailing while battle for P2 delayed his pursuers. Kevin was able to grew the gap constantly and took the flag 5.6 seconds in front of car #4.

Victory elevated Fredrik and Kevin to the top of Renault Sport Trophy endurance classification as well. After second place at Motorland and win at Imola they have 43 points.
