Very fast but out of luck

Kevin with his team-mates Marko Asmer, Karim Al Azhari and Alexey Vasilyev finished 15th overall in Dubai 24 hour race, taking 5th place in A6-Pro class. #10 Mercedes SLS of GTRussian team was one of the fastest cars throughout the race but it was hardware which robbed them the good result.
Marko started the car from P9 and step-by step #10 moved up in the rankings. On the fourth hour Alexey pitted #10 from P3, Kevin took over but after a few laps gearbox broke down. Changing the 'box lasted for 35 laps and dropped #10 to P76 after six hours. Following furious fightback when #10 was often the fastest car on the track gained 61 places back. Finally, a pitstop-strategy masterstroke with less than 20 minutes to go guaranteed them P15 overall and P5 in A6-Pro.
Winning car #2 Merc was out of the reach of #10 but without technical glitches P2 would have been very realistic.
All in all it was definitely not the way Kevin wanted to celebrate his birthday but he and his team-mates can be really proud because of their inextinguishable will and die-hard approach. Well done, boys! And a big thank you to the whole team as well!
Interview with Kevin will follow in few days.
