Kevin go Macau!

Kevin will drive Double R Racing’s Mercedes-powered Dallara F312 at the legendary Asian event.

WSR final round will take place next weekend in Barcelona but Kevin’s season is far from over with it. First time in his career Kevin will start at the legendary Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix on November 15-18. He will drive Dallara-Mercedes of British team Double R Racing. Kevin has never before raced in F3 but Macau regulations require at least one F3 start in the current calendar year. In order to make himself eligible for Macau Kevin will make his F3 debut in British F3 Cup final round which takes place at Snetterton on October 27-28. He will race Double R’s older Mugen-powered Dallara there while fellow WSR driver Antonio Felix da Costa will also use the meeting to qualify for Macau.

Although Kevin is yet to start a F3 race, he is familiar with both Double R and F3, having driven their car during 2010 winter tests after winning Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup.

But what can we expect from Macau?

Kevin: “Actually I don’t know what to expect from Macau. I know it will be difficult to adapt, on the other hand it should give me a unique experience. There are no certain targets for Macau, obviously I want to get a maximum result. Then, Macau is a very special place – you and your team can do very well but you also need some luck there, anything can happen.”

Kevin will be the second Estonian driver ever to race at F3 Macau GP. His compatriot Marko Asmer posted fastest lap of the race in 2007 but just didn’t have that little bit of luck and finished 4th.
